Hello All

From the National Archief a drawing of the Regelbau 673 , so far known 2 x in Denmark ( Grove ) , '
three in Holland and one in St Nazaire . Nice to the tobruk and the extra reinforced walls ( 3 meter ) .

Regards Jos

Hi Jos,
Thanks for sharing. What a weirdo. Noteworthy are the different thickness of the sidewalls and the complex entrance.

Hi Tim,
That makes sense.
Thanks for the picture, this 673 is so different from the ones at Grove.

Forgive me my ignorance: what was the purpose of the bunker and why the strange entrance part (high small slit on the right side) ?
Thanks,

Wim

Thanks but these would not be normal doors that hinged at the wall ?
The slid at the right suggest a sliding door but why not at the left side ? Also the height is higher then the actual height of the shelter room.
Thanks,

Wim

Hello Dirk

If I am correct the 673 bunkers at Grove were used to house light flak .

Hi Jos,
We are not sure about that. The two 673s are located in in same areas as a Flak-Zug, and in the two areas there are bunkers normally associated with a Flak-Stellung. But in both areas there are also two 668 and according to the BfM there were three unspecified 2 cm PAK at Grove. The ramps from the 673 indicates, that the guns housed in the bunker should be towed to firing positions facing the runway area. At present it is my foggy theory that the PAK was housed in the 673 and the 668 were for the crews.

Hello SES

Do you know what type of PAK should be housed in the 673 .

Regards Jos

P.S. The one's at Grove do they have the slit for the doors or not ?

Hi Jos,
The BfM does only specify 2 cm K30, which could mean KwK 30, but I don't know if this existed on a field carriage.
There are swing doors and no slit.

Hi guys

Very nice picture Tim and thanks for the drawing Jos. Interesting design deviation! What about the last one in NL and the one in Saint Nazaire, do they look like the "Standard" design or do they have special features as well??

By the way. The ones a Grove have rounded corners to the actual garage, making access easier than the drawing states.
