Heavy cranes used on the buidling sites

#1

Post by Andrzej Ditrich » 07 Apr 2012, 19:51

Hi All,

the thread become an idea after short discussion with my friends about cranes used on the building sites.
As far as I know the heaviest one is Demag and it was 80t class.
My questions are: where they belonged to? Marine Fest Stabs? or for OKH? Are there any detailed references with drawings of them? When I saw 80t crane in mobile pssition I thought it was Culemeyer trailer with heavy weight
Below few photos of 80t cranes: from buidling of Fjell battery in Norway and few not identyfied yet. Worth of note is a unit sign of Famo: look like outlined bastions layout-this might suggest Pionier unit but witch one?

Interesting topic.

Attached one from MKB Vogelnest with a 175 tons Ardelt crane, and another one from Hansted II (MCH)

Hello

Here you can see that on the legs of the crane extra small cranes could be mounted .

I am guessing they are only connected to the heavy (150T) cranes.
On your picture of M.K.B. Lindemann you seen that only the 150T crane has these extra crane arms.

Also the shape of the legs are different.

Very nice topic btw.
If anyone can get hold of some crane drawings.....
I have contacted the german crane companies. But they don't even answer your email...
Thanks,

Wim
