Hi Kurt,

there is no detailed description on photos...we can geuss only by the background for example buildings which looks like French(?).

Hello,

Sorry for exhuming such an old post but I think the small porch on the rear is the cover of the crew platform for 28 cm S.K.L/40 Given that, the place would be M.K.B. Graf Spee in Festung Brest of M.K.B. Hamburg in Festung Cherbourg.

Here a heavy crane that was used to lift the 28 cm Morser from the train to the ground .
According to the Ebay photo caption this should be near Sewastopol ??
