Hello All

Found some information on the "Heeres-Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilung 769" , started in Belgium with
command post in Wenduyne and with three batterie's with all 4 x 10.5 cm K.35 (t) in 1942 this unit
recieved new guns , each battery with 3 x 17 cm K.18 i. Mrs.Laf. and was placed in the south sector
of Pas de Calais . The photo's from the 17 cm K 18 guns from Ebay are from the 2./769 at Berck-Nord
later on these guns would be placed in the 689 at Berck. The new name of this unit was 6./1245 .

Regards Jos

Thanks, Jos. That explains a lot about the various pictures of this ebay series. :D

Hello Alex

If you read well the 17 cm K 18 were called 21 cm Morsers and the places are fairly mixed up by the seller .
From what I can see the 10.5 cm K 35 (t) were made at the Belgium coast and the 17 cm K 18 were made
at Berck Nord

Natter,

The top picture shows a 15.5 cm K416(f). What battery was it in Wenduyne?

I know.

I'm not sure, but it might have been vacated to Zeebrügge by march 1943 according to the british intelligence report which the photos were attached to:

The photo's from Natter are also from Barbara, the only H.K.B. on the Belgium coast with 15.5 cm K.416 (f)
all other 5 H.K.B. had 15.5 cm K.418 (f) . As in the info the H.K.B. was moved from Wenduine to Zeebrugge .

hm, what is Barbara? HKB had Numbers not names ..
or what HKB had a name?
(not just intern designation, Org.Abt./B.d.E. designation only!)

ok, Jos, no problem - but all other batteries of HKAA 823 had 15,5 cm K. 416 (f) too
(or do you mean that too with HKB Barbara?)
