Just for the record, Windmess or WIM Stellung was the early cover name for a FuMB Stellung.

The antenna's must have been at one of the W.n. of Stp. Port en Bessin , W.n. 51 and W.n. 47b ,
strange is the map from Alain with the Windmesstelle adn Freya at W.n. 51 .

Regards Jos
yes Jos Wn. 51/47b and 55

this is Wn.51 Gsgs map

Hi,
I would suggest the B could be an abreviation for B-Stelle = FuMB Stelle. Also I find the W = Wim ? significant.

Hello

We have Fu.M.B. Languste ( Kriegsmarine ) and one antenna of the Fu.S.An. 700 ( Luftwaffe )
in W.n. 51 maybe the Fu.S.An 700 Elektra/Sonne was called Melone ???

Did you found on the site or any information on the Peilstelle Erika , maybe a mistake in the number 47.

Regards Jos

this is abreviation for B on Gsgs map
I didn't realise it was an allied map. Just an observation. The Electra/Sonne was an omni directional not a beam, but this expression might have been used by the allies to denote a navigation system.
