Italian AA Guns

Post by Dili » 12 Dec 2012 00:21

An AA battery in Eastern Lybia, wonder what would be the oasis place. Maybe near some airbase?

77/28 pedestal mounted or 75/27 AV pedestal mounted?

75/27 AV

I think the lack of the circle/wheel at side of the gun might indicate this are 77/28 plus the three tube underside fixations.

It is indeed a 77/28 by comparing with the walk-around pictures here:

and in particular with this picture:

A manual of Cannone 75-40 CA 1933 appear in an ebay sell http://www.ebay.it/itm/ARTIGLIERIA-TERR ... 0665882371

Unless it is a typo for the common 76/40 this might be the gun of German Kriegtransporter ships that operated in Mediterranean

This Lancia 3RO with 90mm Ansaldo is here at Ft. Sill and is tentatively scheduled for restoration next year.

I believe it is a rare photo of a Cannone da 75/46 - campale- firing.

That would be the Modello 34 since it has the foldable mounting. The static version was Modello 40 if I'm not mistaken.

Here is the 7,5 cm Flak 264/4(i) (Modello 40) being fired by German paratroopers:

Here is one of many versions of 76/40 gun. This one with an unique long recoil over the gun. Anyone knows the version?

Here i believe is the same version: http://www.lambadoria.it/bunker/museo%2 ... /index.htm

I believe that the top picture shows 76/40 AA guns while the bottom picture shows some 77/28 guns.

Agree. The 77/28 in first photo of this thread it can also be seen same perpendicular/horizontal tube for unclear proposes.

I think this 77/28 photo is probably in or nearer WW1 due to its tint.
