Re: Italian AA Guns
Clive most probably captured equipment. I have no information of Italians having bought sound detectors from France or anyone else.
Sturm78, they seem to be.

Re: Italian AA Guns
How do you reconize a 76/45 ? i can only do it seeing the small recuperators(correct term?) below the breech like in this picture: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/76/45_Mod._1911

I think this could be 75/27 AVManuferey wrote:A picture of a 77/28 gun from ebay.de:

Re: Italian AA Guns
Yes, it could be a 75/27 AV based on the shorter length of the barrel in front of the rotational axis.

Re: Italian AA Guns
Yeah that is an easier way to spot the differences.

Re: Italian AA Guns
Could it be in the Italian-occupied zone in southeastern France?

Re: Italian AA Guns
Most probable. Or Tunisia. But they seem too clean for Tunisia
Edit: is this is the 75mm PF mle 15 know in Italy as 75/34? then Germans have been selling them to Italians since 1941. 29 Batteries so still a sizable number of guns. If at 4 guns per battery that means 116 guns.
24 were captured by Italy in Tunisia.
So this could well be Italy and not Southern France or Corse.
