Hello

Who has any idea on this bunker , looks to me Marine Artillery troops from the M.A.A. 244 ( Seestern )
on the cap on the third soldier on the left . So it could be at Pas de Calais . Photo = Ebay

Is that a Hochstand für Artilleriebeobachtung in the background?
Maybe not a 8P7 or 70P9, as the framework seems to be made of seven segments and the highest (11 m) 70P9 version only had five segments, but perhaps something for the same purpose.

Hello TH,

You talk of the things on the leitstand ? It is a french telemeter of the french leitstand (1936) of the french battery Bastion II (4 x 19,4 cm, Calais).

Hello Leo

That is strange Eddy

Bastion II, Sangatte and Oldenburg were never under the command of M.A.A. 204 and B. Malo les Bains only later in the war ??

Hello Jos,

I know, MAA 204 was positioned at their left flank near Dunkirk, but the men in the picture (taken in 1940) are wearing the seastar.
In fact they belonged to a Marine Kraftfahr Abteilung, that was evident a mixed unit, also navy men with the sailors cap.
