return to documents
Here we find two ways of fixing the laffette
In concrete
doc januari 45 inbetonieren.jpg
doc januari 45 inbetonieren.jpg (146.07 KiB) Viewed 1186 times
a system where you can t reuse the lafette
the other system is that the lafette is bolted to the concrete
doc januari 45 niet inbetonieren.jpg
here you can easily replace the canon with its sokkellafette
as explained above we also find this in the 667 and our emplacements VF 9
a hole of 35 on 35 cm and 8 bolts (lafette reussable)
and a hole of 50 cm on 50 cm with no bolts (not reussable)
and it s that info that is written on the nara documents
You can replace the 5 cm KwK complete
or you has to foresee the fixing solution and lafette "1694"
that s why they use 5 cm Kwk and 5 cm KwK 1694 so they can provide the necessary things for replacing the old VF9
by a 667

I ll hope that no one is going to use for any type of the VF 9 the nr 1694
but if we can ad 1694 to an emplacement that provides info in which system the gun is fixed
hope it is clear for everyone
any questions ?

I really do not see "R667" but I see an empty case. Even with photoshop by changing light and constrast.

Then. All your supports are about late laffette on late foundation. Never saw a 5 cm KwK with such a carriage on the AW. Moreover, the lafette for 5 cm KwK in the documents you show can't even be mounted in a R667.

In the end if you say VF9 = zeichnung 88, why the VF8 is zeichnung 127 ? There is a gap, and not in the good direction !

good question
i explain tomorrow
but no no gap at all
The VF 8 has to be an early replacement for the original zeichnung 87 remember these zeichnungs in the VF are all costructed
so a prototype is removed and replaced by the late model VF 8 (which is 40 cm rememeber
all the rest including our VF 9 (hypothese) are of a thickness of 1 meter
I explain here the emplacement not in detail the 667 my friend
If you look good than you can see clearly in the old emplacements two different kind of fixings (with and without bolds
that is the main thing
I didn t say that the new lafette is used in these old emplacements
its gonna be used in the new 667 if they construct it

All the (new) lafette you show in your documentation are too low (bas) to be installed in 1694 (or KwK Plate if you prefer) or 667.

And I didn't understood the relation between a VF9, 1694 and lafette ? Can you summary your thesis please ?

Arthur
It s all written there
with documentation etc you only have to read it

There are emplacements where the lafette is concreted in and where do i talk of that type in 1942 see al the pictures placed by other members... nowhere we don t know
somethimes the lafettes are bolted in place (the same we don t know that zeichnung nr also.... Alone the nrs 169etc we know and that is what we need to construct the new emplacement in the 667 in 1944
We know 1695 1696 etc but not a drawning is found of the 1694 ....
That s what i ve told before its that part they need to replace the 5 cm KwK in it s new emplacement when the canon must be removed and the old lafette is concreted in ... So why do you say all these lafettes and methodes of construction are too low ... I didn t say they need the 1696..... or 1695 you said that.... I ll let it show to you that the 1694 has something todo with a method for the Sk LIc

I hope you do understand this

Good evening Dirk,

Yes, but it's a rudimentary version of the vault that was next to the field battery defending the K5 battery of the Pointe aux Oies and its Dombunker... I knew it was that thanks to the book "Fortress Boulogne-sur-Mer" by Alain Chazette !

Good question ! I think it was added well after the war and changed because subdivisions were built behind in the 1970s ! Other pictures :
