Lo 55 Lorient

Hello All

Lo 55 was composed of several sub W.N. with letters

Lo 55 a ( Scorff U boot bunker ) and ( F.U.B. Nord )
Lo 55 b
Lo 55 c
Lo 55 d ( Saltzwedelkaserne )
Lo 55 e ( middle part of Marine Arsenal )
Lo 55 f ( Marine lazarett )

Now I found this document with the bunker Jutta and Otto all were placed in Lo 55 f
around the hospital http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... t=hospital
but who knows were the bunkers Max and Fritz were located ?? Also the bunker Peter at the Rue
de Kermelo I can't find .

Thanks to Alain

The Hinderburgkaserne was the French caserne Bisson that is now destroyed
just outside Lo 55 so the Max bunker must be build near this location .

Fritz = next to the scorff UBB (destroyed)
Max = in the current city center between the cinema and the Cours de Chazelles (destroyed)
Peter not found. The rue de Kermélo must have changed.

The document is from end 1943 , a planned 6-Schartenturm in Lo 55 .

Hello,

A 6 schartenturm was planned too in Bordeaux at the same period ... Was it in accordance of a similar order of fortification around the different U Bunker ? Was it the same kind of bunker ??

Some Ebay photo's a of the war-time Scorff U boot bunker and one now a days , the Lüfter is still there ( Dirk Peeters )
