Hi,
This is possibly my favorite radarsite in France. It is built exactly to the specifications in "Richtlinien für den Ausbau von Such- u. Großsuchstellungen" in Vollfestungsmässiger Ausbau with a few 5 cm KwK thrown in for good measure. Please see:
http://www.gyges.dk/Flugmeldemess%20Stellungen%202.htm
bottom of the page.
The Wassermann site was located some distance away and had the layout earlier posted by Dirk.
L 480 drawing by Dirk.
This L 480 was built to mount a Wassermann M IV, which was a bit of a surprise. Please see picture of foundation by AC.

Hi Kurt,
Thank you. I'm uneasy about the drawing. The one I posted is based on Dirsk's measurements and I trust him implicitly. On your drawing there is a sandwing with a Ringstand, I cannot console that with the picture of the entrance I posted.

The Photos i have shown are of Photos in the exhibition at Douvres, I took them when I visited in 2005.

Hi Kurt and Dirk,
Thanks a lot for your comments. I think I now can see the entrance to the Tobruk behind the soldiers under the camo-net.
So UFN Kurt it is your drawing that goes.

As you can see the 8-sided room at right is slightly off. The rest is on scale.
Thanks,

I think you/we miss a lot details.
Despite all the eforts Dirk's team has put into measuring it.
Even with the dimensions as given on the "kurt" drawing I can make a 10-15cm mistake easily, left or right side of a line.

A german construction drawing would help :-)
Thanks,

Wim
