There were differences in between Tipo A and MG-Panzernest.
What were the differences?
Did Italians use original MG-Panzerenst?
Did they make Tipo A using original german castings, or they made very close replicas (but different from Panzernest)?
"Flat" loophole cover is Italian or German?

Hello.
The differences of type A are inside as power or telephone connection
are minimal and are of modernization. In type A did not use periscopes Germans nor the ventilation system.
The panzernest were practically looted after World War II.
The Italians in the Cold War and adapted it painted only.

FIAT armored plates were manufactured to be placed in concrete fortifications.
Some plates Fiat model (minimum plate thickness and 1931) not placed in fortifications were adapted to panzernest, the rear being manufactured and using the Italian plates.

Plates and backs foundry manufactured by FIAT.
The production plant was in mirafiori FIAT (Torino Italy) under German occupation and the rear to fit the plates FIAT parts I make.

NOTE: it is possible that the panzernest rotary version is made entirely by FIAT. (Data not confirmed).

Greetings. DMM.

Comparing pictures of German and Italian Panzernests, it looks like many differences were exsitent:
- different shape of loophole (German: 2 rectangular holes, Italian: keyhole shape)
- ventilation removed
- heating removed
- empty shells container removed
- new piping installed (resembling water pipes - high pressure?), using original holes for wheel axes
- sometimes reworked entrance hole (cut?) , different shape of rain guard above the entrance
- entrance hatch cover fixed with one axis, not with 2 screws
- shelves inside reworked (shelves right bottom cut out, box on the top cut out, all the clamps cut out)
- electrical installation and lightbulb added
- original seats removed, new installed
- different lafette
- different cover of loophole (flat vs. sharp, but I'm not sure - possibly Germans used this flat one too)
- different fixing and locking of loophole cover
- removed leather handles from the ceiling
- added some external hinges, for camouflage (?)

It looks, like Italians used stripped out armoured shells, and except this changed everything; changes like different shape of loophole and entrance could be difficult to execute, that's why I think about new cast.

Panzernest in Kolobrzeg.
Number 28 and 29?
The number 28 is the number of copies?
The number 29 is the manufacturer's code?
Anyone can make quality photographs of the numbers?
