I think it belong to Buldogge, because of the "B" in the nickname which also fits with "Boulogne"... (same for Wels with Warincthun).

I've noticed this goes not with all stellungen... and some stellungen are devide into several locations (like Buldogge is divided also into a part that stands near St Cecile plage).

is it correct to handle a FuMG nickname's first letter with an location nearby?
In most of the times the first letter(s) of the nickname is the same as the place where it lies nearby. Some examples: Schlei=Schiermonnikoog, Delphin=Delfzijl, Hase=Harderwijk, Tiger=Terschelling and so on.

But that doesn't have to do anything with this topic.

Aha, so Skorpion (Vaudricourt) could be "Somme", the river that runs near it ;-)

Thanks for the info's!

LINDWURM was named after Limfjorden, which is an inland waterway miles away. BOCK, Denmark was on Bornholm. And SEEHUND on Sjælland.

Hi!

To me, it looks like a receiving antenna. Maybe it was MPNS Boulogne or a SIGINT-antenna of the Army or Luftwaffe...

Best wishes

Hi Rolf,
I agree, it seems to me that it is based on an eight mast configuration. Could the outer ring be some sort of ground plane?
Do we know the position of the MPHS?

Hi SES!

I don't have any information about the MPNS. I just know, that she existed.
I think, because of different wavelength, you need a larger circle for lower
frequencies. It seems to be a Peilstelle for lengthwave- and shortwave-frequencies.
Very interesting!

Best wishes

Hi Tom!

No problem... ;-)
It is a Marinepeilhauptstelle (main post) and a Marinepeilnebenstelle (sub post).
These are posts of the "B-Dienst" (Beobachtungsdienst) are SIGINT-posts (Signal Intelligence) of the Kriegsmarine.

Best wishes
Rolf

Hi Tom,
If we are going to start an in depth discussion on the MPHS subject lets start a new thread, but here is some additional information:
