Hi,
After reading this (thanks to Mikeo for his discovery) I rushed to URDAX in SPAIN
to see the metal bunker.
I discussed with the owner who told me where the bunker came from:
It was situated exactly in FRANCE at the border of DANCHARIA near the customs.
The bunker was covered with concrete and was dismantled in the late eighties.
The owner has recovered and transported to its current location (URDAX is 3 km from DANCHARIA).
But most surprising are the visible impacts on the upper surface of the structure.
These impacts come from a air raid.
Two assumptions can be made:
-the OT Stahlunterstand has already been used on another front there and saw the fire.
Or:
-the OT Stahlunterstand was strafed during its journey from the factory to the station in BAYONNE.

you can find a photo with yours truly to give a scale and inside the structure.

Hi Guys,

I prepare short visit of eastern part of Pyrenees. I was able to localize both OT-Pantherturms (col de la Perche and Perthus) and PzKpfw 38(t) turret at Col de Belitres. I have made the map. Maybe it will be useful for someone (tank turret bunkers are marked in dark red).

Are there any interesting bunkers? I have seen photos of Panzernests (posted by Jory). Where are they located? Are all the tank turrets gone, except Col de Balitres?

I know there is a one preserved OT-Stahlunterstand, placed at the garden of Spanish restaurant, but it is too far (western part of Parenees).

Thanks in advance for any info. I will post new photos after the visit.

Thanks Herring. Which Rs58c you mean? Both Tobruks I see at the satelite map looks to be the tank turret Tobruks.

Thanks. Pretty good map. Did you visited Perthus and Perche with Pantherturm bunkers?

I have visited Col de Balitres and Perthus. OT Pantherturm is still in good shape. It is impressive inside. I think this bunker and the second one at Col de la Perche are the only preserved "all steel" armed bunkers at the world (OT Stahlunterstands are passive shelters, not armed).
