Looks like in the prototype there was used a heavy chimney cover, as in serial OT Stalunt. typ Z

Hello

This is the first document ,that I have found , were in Pantherturmen were planned in the Atlantikwall
beside the 6 X that were build in the "Pyrenäenfront" . Not sure if these turrets in Le Havre were planned
on O.T.Stahlunterstanden or bunker ??

Document = Dirk Peeters

Hello,

That's THE document. Clarifies, that old report, that Jentz found a years ago, didn't have to be wrong. A question comes - if any preparations to installatin were made in place?

What it could be? Anything - steel, concrete or wood. All of them were to be installed in this same preiod. Near to Bonn you have uninstalled steel, in Stettin wooden, and in Alsace concrete.
Only thing, that could help, would be to trace factory reports, in what direction what type was departured.

Dear Bunker'sfriends,

This document about Le Havre is VERY interesting :
- It is the first time I read such information about Le Havre : the project to install Panther turm :D .
- The code of the Widerstandnester - Bo 03 and Bo 04 is also very strange : could it be the Division HQ build in Bolbec area?

It seems to be logical alos to protect this Division HQ with several Panther turm : as I know, it was only protected with minefields.

Regards from Le Havre.

Hi @ndrew

Very nice picture , this one is new for me . The Pantherturm Ausf. A is typical for the Senger-Riegel ( near Monte Cassino ) according to the book Panzer Tracts No 21-2 also that fits with the time on the picture early 1944 and
Gen. von Vietinghoff commander of the 10 Army at that time . There were 12 Pantherturrets in that Festungs-Pantherturm Kompanie .

Regards Jos
