Well, here goes the colour pic.Is from a well known example preserved at Germany.Modified turret with hexagonal base (Wooden bunker? Please note that the turret shown at the drawing of the Panther-Turm A (Schnelleimbau) has the same base...)The original "Make a Bunker by yourself" manual shows a T34 turret as example.
And last example the improvised Panther Fortifications made from complete Panther Hulls without Engine, wheels and tracks buried in streets (Mainly in Berlín but also in other big cities) G Hulls from disabled tanks sent to the factories for repair-rebuild.
I would like to credit all the ones that provided me these pics but I lost all the info in a -Many :-( - computer crashes...And excuse my English

Very interesting information, and the photos are VERY good!! 8O

The last turret on your photos (In colour) is on my "visit list" for next week!

I have been looking forward to see a Panther Bodentürm for real!

Thanks again!

I will!

But as far as I know, this is not the original position of this turret, so it might be a mess inside?

but what I mean was that I would like to see how was the turret modified ...How the commander hatch looked from inside, which components from a standard turret were supressed...

Good day everybody! :-)

Here is a link to the "Pantherturm in Poland"

http://www.orasoft.net.pl/~leszek.ch/e_pt.htm

This site is also very interesting, there are a lot of different Pz.-Kampfwagen-Türme (tank turrets) used as stationary defence :

The following pics I found on this site:

With friendly greetings, Sven

Hi

Here a bunker Regelbautype 687 and the
O.T. Stahlunterstände mit betonummantelung 1.00 m.
On one of the picture in a other reply you can see
the O.T.stand without concrete.

@Javichu

The third picture (Pantherv.jpg) showing a Pantherturret on a shelter with wooden stamps you have posted on 22.March is wrong. The combination of this typ of a wooden shelter with a Panther turret was never built
I know three different versions of Wooden shelter with Pantherturm (Holzstand für Schnelleinbau für Pantherturm).
The are made of flat boards or half round wooden trunks, with or without ammunition camber and little different measures.

The turret of Pirmasens (Gerstfeldhöhe) is standing on the earth. There is only a small hole under the turret but no shelter.

Hello

My first message here :) Ok, a word about Pantherturm in Szczecin - some pics http://www.odkrywca-online.com/index1.p ... nazwa=lufa - being dug out by engineers, more http://www.odkrywca-online.com/pokaz_wa ... 191#135216. And as a detail I have to say that it has/had a wooden base instead of concrete or steel. If I find anything else I'll post it.

Best regards

Finaly have some more photos of Pantherturm captured by Polish II Corps in Italy :)
Nice close-ups and camo pattern. This is typical fortification example of the turret.

BTW How many of them were installed in Poland (with nowadays borders)?
There are same places 'reported to be fitted with or to have something' but as for today only one were found in Szczecin.
There are some rumours that few were in Wrocław but no photos or reamains of emplacements are visible today.

Here are the photos (source=caption):
