In order to avoid mistake. The Pantherturm in Kolobrzeg (Kolberg) is a maquette. The original Pantherturm, which has been excavated at Polish coast at 2001 year, has been placed at Świnoujście (Swinemünde) - Fort Gerhard museum.

Hello

Ondrej - Thanks for the info. I also thought that it was the one found some years ago.

Is there any Pictures from the final mounting of this one??

I assume that your picture does not show the final mounting??

Hello Kurt. I have found this photo of the installation at official website of the museum. By the way, could anyone identify the version of turret?

They have found amunition and rests of wood parts and thin concrete pannels at the original location (Szczecin - Stettin). We can assume it was not a turret of the destroyed tank, but a turret at the improvised bunker. But I do not know, how precise were those "archeological researches".

Hello Ondrej
Thanks for the link. The turret from Szczecin is a “real” Panther-Bodenturm (Ostwallturm), not a tank turret.
The Ostwallturm has much thicker top armour (65 mm instead of 16 mm) and a simple hatch on the top instead of a commander’s cupola.
greetings
lars

hello

did panzer-kp. (bo.) berlin really equippted with panther-türme?

the order sayd "6.) Materielle Bestimmungen:
a) gep.

Schadpanzer - not (Panther)türme ....
