Tobruk Granatwerfer 8 cm (probably Ic 125)

Recently one of our Belfra members found a tobruk who submerged from te he sand in Bray Dunes
a very special one
One of the Ic 125 125 types with markings on it
Thanks to Bruno S i huried tho that Tobruk for taking measurements
This is what i found there

here at StP Adolf is another of the same type ? but the new one lacks the mushroom in the middle
At the same Stp there is another Ic 125 ? with the mushroom at the botom
The new one lacjs this item .. strange no
here pictures of 1997 of th other Ic 125

In this new Tobruk we found Lebel and mauser bullets ...

and we see the difference in markings between the two Tobruks who are at 50 m separated from each other
... can anyone help please

Now we have find out the exact purpose , maybe the size of the ammunition niches can help òr exact function of the T form concrete poll ??

Most likely the painted markings are reference markings for direction / elevation / range to various known points around the bunker, which would make fire direction much easier.

such a one with the base we have found also in NL.
We think it's for a French 5cm mortars.

nice to see another ringstand type (ic 125), that's new for me!
But that ringstand lies open for some months, some time ago i saw it passing on facebook somewhere,

This week we will investigate this in detail
last week i couldn t get to the bottom
now we gonna take exact measurements of all the details
no hurry tom
last week it was all filled in
also the soccle will be completely measured in detail
is there in the brv a nice drawning of this soccle ?

Dirk, In the Netherlands the emplacements do not have a soccle.

But i did not notice them because most of these are almost filled with sand.

ok It looks thje soccle is deeper than the one at Bray Dunes

latest news one with a soccle looks to be a 5 cm , but without soccle looks like a 8 cm mortar
has anyone drawnings of the ammo of these two mortargrenades ? with measurements please in mm or cm ....
the drawning of the soccle i will place in a few days

we can be sure that the one without the soccle was used for the 8 cm mortar version because we found more than 100 grenades in these niches
Of course we contacted the local gendarmerie (Police) and we helped them to localise and to see these grenades
The Gendarmerie is going to destroy this lot of course because it was just under the sand
it was very dangerous for children or other people who marched there in the dunes
The grenades where in good condition
i ll put later here some pictures
so two mortars used in the same bettung (5 cm and 8 cm
and the drawning of BRV has another soccle... so maybe a third mortar is involved
