Type 219

this type is built in the 15 Armee KVA A and B (one is in Calais but it is the only one
i have heard some are built in the sudwall also
There is something peculiar about this bunker
You can say it has holes just beside the canon in the floor
are they ammo pits ? seems dangerous to fall in no ?
i ll never see they where closed with wooden planking but maybe i didn t look wel

up till now i don t have seen a 219 without these "ammo pits"

In the later planned and build 700 also the round were staged in a pit with wooden planking .

I personally have not seen the Südwall

504's also have a ammo cellar unkderneith the gun in the garage.
To save space and it is a good way to keep your ammo and other instruments out of the way a cellar is practical solution.

but there is always on the sides of the "hole" a little incrustion for holdng the wooden planks
In a 219 there is none
I think Jos has found some 219 in the sudwall
