We are now starting with the restoration of the HES 2.4
I need some help with colour codes for the ventilation pipes.
I know that pipes for clean air had blue colour and uncleaned air had yellow color.
Were there any standard colour code for this? RAL?

Thanks for your help, it may look like that we need to bring a sample to the store to get the correct color
since the old RAL codes do not exist anymore...

Contact Bunkerbehoud in the Netherlands, they've restored several bunkers and have quite some experience with paint jobs!

I think I found these on an IPMS website. Found the yellow and blue on a color sample site. Use these on my 3D models and it looks like a match to original bits found. The yellow most be factory painted as it look equal on all sites. The blue (if used) seems to vary.

Thanks, it helped us a little further...
We made a sample of the roof today and the result was not the same, a clear difference between
the old and the new colour :?

Here are some updated pictures of work done the last 14 days.
The walls of the gas lock has been painted and new lighting installed.
The walls in the radioroom has been painted and new lighting and kitchen installed.
On the roof, we have been looking for a leak and it was located. The leak led to water in the crew room.

On the drawing we can see the water supply pipe.
It goes to the room called "Lager". There seems to be some sort of tank inside the room (28 on the drawing).
Anybody who know what this is, water supply tank or something like that?
The pipe also goes to the "vorraum" and the "gasschleuse".
Could it have been placed a sink there or perhaps shower?

Another picture from the restauration work. The main entrance is almost done.
Walls and ceilings are painted. Soon the "St" marking will be painted on the wall :)

The only thing I can think of is a watertank for cooling water. For a (back up) generator or apparatus which needs cooling.
Also water supply for washing your hands ?
Thanks,

Wim

Thanks for your answer wimve.
Might be for cooling or similar as you say. The room beside the lager, called Rückku...?, has a drain pipe in the floor.
Then what about the "vorraum" and the "gasschleuse".
I think I've seen that it has been mounted shower in other bunkers in the "vorraum" (to wash in case of chemical attack etc.) or am I wrong?

I think that the Rückkuhler perhaps olso had water in it, used to transfer the heat between in-going and out-going air. The warm out-going air heated the water which then heated the cold in-going air.
