Re: L 484 at Bodo ( Norway )
very impressing
but the entrances must be fitted with electricity light bulbs of blue color and only 15 watt
we have found some (they sell them even now!!!!) and it is really a difference and most visitors liked it when they know the reason
but you have made a fantastic restauration
we ll know how much work this is

Thanks, I didn't know about the blue light bulbs, thats interesting, and they are still for sale as you say
I suppose the reason was to "hide" the entrances when it was dark outside?

yep that is the reason
as red light is used for night vision this blue is for the enemy not seeing it from far away

Interesting Do you have pictures of Original ones. Can't imagine they used them everywhere.
Re: L 484 at Bodo ( Norway )
Thank you everyone for good feedback.
The drawings and documents are very interesting.
The original lighting fixture and the light switch has a different location in this bunker compared with the drawings.
I have now ordered some blue 15W light bulbs that I found here: http://www.cp-lighting.co.uk/GLS-240V-15W-ES-T-BLUE

i ll think that the germans if there weren t bleu lights availeble they put other in , but i don t think they used there stronger watts because it has to be a security if the enemy can t find you otherwise
and i can asure you 15 watts is not much but it gives a hint how it was for visitors

The "Rückkühler" room is almost finished.
We are going to use this room as a communication room - telephone exchange with 10 lines switchboard to choose
between the different phones in the bunker. I'm looking forward to it

The blue light in the entrance makes a wonderful experience.
It is perhaps difficult to see, but on the pictures there is blue bulbs (15W) in the lamps.
It is quite dark, but enough to make their way without falling in the stairs
