here a german drawning of a Formstein

Hello Dirk

Had a discussion with Hans about the Formsteine and he told me they were only
used in sectors along the A.W. and not everywere along the A.W. .

Hallo Wim
on your 3D drawing we see on the side of the formstein a round "tube" along the Formstein
on the formsteine we have this isn t there but we recuperated a "new " one this weekend and this one is exactly as on your drawing
so we have for the "normal" formstein already three variants in our display

Nice to hear.
Maybe you can even go even "deeper" by finding out why there are severals designs and/or if they are used for special purposes. You would think that the germans would have used one good design and not several.
Thanks,

Wim

They didn't call a bunker a Steinschalung. They called the means it was built with Steinschalung, instead of Holz.

Formstein = Stein = Steinschalung. :)

Hi Ruud,

I think it is the beginning ("formstein bekisting" in dutch) of a bunker, i think the formstein on ure picture are the concrete linings for a bunkerwall, which had to be filled with iron works and afterwards filled with concrete.

correct me if i'm wrong (or shoot me :milsmile: )

Original bunker information is well documented, but does somebody know how many concrete blocks
were used in a Regelbau , for instance in a 668 ??
