Under the platform of the dome in La Rochelle you can see the containers for batteries, either standard or rather an exception? Photos forum: http://atlantikwall.superforum.fr/t2525 ... ie-la-roch

Hello. For several years, we managed to repair damage to the platform in the dome 441p01 in our Regelbau 120a on "Dąbrowiecka Góra". We have completed a lot of equipment on and under the platform. Now we have a problem with recreating the angular scale from 1 to 6400 and the smaller one above it for the Busch side periscopes. Unfortunately, apart from the reliable Bunkersite.com , we do not have photos of how the arrangement of the divisions in the dome should look like. Do you have photos showing such scales mounted in the domes of the artillery observer? Do you have information about the thickness of the asbestos lining in the dome?Image Image Image Image Image Image The only photos of the scale in the cupola known to us, unfortunately, do not include the upper one for the Busch side periscopes, because in those cupolas their use and assembly were abandoned. Do you have pictures of the scales in the artillery observer cupolas that also have the top scale? https://bunkersite.com/locations/dk/ste ... trand3.php https://bunkersite.com/locations/dk/ste ... trand4.php https://bunkersite.com/locations/dk/lok ... berg-3.php

I don't have a photo, but it should basically look like on your drawings.
The 0/6400 scale is mounted with 0 at grid north. Above it, the partial periscope scales are mounted with 0 centered to the respective periscope.

This is according to the 1940 regulation (available on NARA microfilm T-78 roll 774).

As an aside, this device is known in the American Military as a"Slipring" and is still used for the same purpose in tank and other turrets. I am surprised that they are still present as currently they are made of copper. What are yours made of.
Or a brass copper alloy with better wear properties. The contacts would be graphite brushes with a spring arrangement to keep them firmly in contact.

These are small ones, but it gives you the concept

Hello

Here is a couple of pictures of the scale of this kind of turret. I've never seen a top scale on this kind of turret, only in 3 & 6-schartenturm.

The abestos thickness is about 4-5 cm.
