Hello

a question about the ammunition: - in a document from 16.10.1941 i found the note that this gun can use 2 sorts of amunition (some words are unreadable - try to advise)

15 cm K.Gr. 18 mit A.Z. 23 v (0,15) and
15 cm K.Gr. 18 m. Dopp.Z. S./90
15 cm Gr, 19 rot Be. oder Bd.Z. für 15 cm gr. 19 Da.

or

15 cm Sprgr. L/4,6 Kz. (m. Haube) m. Kz. C/27 and
15 cm Sprgr. L/4,6 Kz. (m. Haube) m. Dopp.Z S/90. St.
15 cm Sprgr. L/4,5 m.Bdz. (m. Haube) Bdz. C/38

i think the ammunition above is Heeres-Ammunition
and under is Marine-Ammunition (Patronenmunition?)

and for what stands the abbreviations?

thanks uwe

Hello Jos

yes, it's s.Art.Abt. (mot.) 625 - think it's 3rd Battery (the logo looks a little bit different than the logo in my book, you can see there 3 vertical lines going from triangle)

Hi everyone.
Please help me with the technical characteristics of the 15-cm-S.K. C/28 M in 15-cm-motorisierter Lafette mot L. C/38, especially firing range. I think that the data on the Internet about its range at 23.500 m is incorrect. Since the muzzle velocity of the 15-cm-S.K. C/28 M - 875 m / s, and 15-cm K 18 - 865 m / s. As well as the elevation angles of the 15-cm-S.K. C/28 M is 47º, and 15-cm K 18 is only 43º. From this it follows that the firing range of the naval gun should be significantly higher than 24.825 meters.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Andriy
