#1

Post by der bunkermann » 25 Feb 2016, 22:14

In the recently dugout 680 in Scheveningen there was according to a geschutz und waffenlist in 1945 a 4.7 cm PaK mit MG?

Now i tried to search but can't find how this MG would be attached to the gun?

Ok Dirk, there was a thin walled bunker for 4.7 cm skoda (with extra room), maybe it's just a slip of the pen.. in the 680 there are no traces visible of an adaption for another weapon.
pictures can be found at fortificatieforum.nl

There was mounted a coaxial MG on top of the 4,7 cm gun.

Hi Jens, thats what Jos and i are thinking. MG for aiming?
There are 100 % no remains of bolts to be found in the kampfraum of this particular 680.

Yes, but a coaxial MG on a mobile gun?
We have two seperate documents stating there was a 4.7 Pak mit MG, and one even saying Festungspak! This could be a nice find.
Redrawal of all mobile guns where needed in the end of the war. What's left were static Festungspak.

Some 200 meters from the 680 was a thinwalled bunker for 4.7 festungsPaK covering the harbourentrance. I would put my money on the 4.7 festungsPaK staying there.
In 1944 when the 2./SS panzerjägerkompanie manned the stutzpunkt there were 2X 7.5 cm PaK present, and a 4.5 cm PaK (probably they mean the 4.7) manned by 4./festungstammtruppen.

Maybe the 680 was abandoned after the departure of the Waffen ss unit?
