Photo's to ID (Belgium / northern France)

#1

Post by myt1prod » 31 Jul 2016, 22:00

Hello,

I have quite some photo's which I can't realy pinpoint and don't even know when they have been shot (in any case they are quite old due to the printformat and they date back before the time the battery Salzwedel-Neu (Raversijde) was a museum). Some of them I can recognize at the blink of an eye... all photo's where shot along the Belgian coast (for those I recognize only KVA A3) or Northern France.

Perhaps some of you will recognize some locations... i'll post them one by one, not to complicate the topic.

First one;

:| Again destroyed
(and the demolishion continues... In my hometown the camping where the untouched part of Wn Wrangel lies with a least 1 intact bunker, will be develloped into a luxury building project... the fate of the bunker(s) (which are now under the sand) seems grimm)

Hello Dirk,

I confirm the first picture is Waldersee. Today this entrance of the 5cm bettung is under the dune but on old pictures we can see that the brick construction with the half circle brick shaft like an emergency exit, matches perfectly with your picture.

I agree too with the 196 from Stp Seydlitz. Destroyed in 1991 together with all the remaining bunkers on the east side of the Strandlaan.

Gr.
