Questions about my father
My father was from 1939 to 1945 member of "Wehrmacht", he was employed in various artillery units.
1.- Januar 1940 - August 1940 movable Artillery in the "Stellungsartillerie Abteilung 806" on the Upper Rhine with a battery "Flak 8,35 cm 22 (t)" (bunker bombardment of the Maginot Line, Operation "Kleiner Bär")

Image 2: Training at Flak
Image 3: quarters "Zur Linde" Oberachern, spring 1940
Image 4: Training at Flak, spring 1940, Sasbachwalden Schwarzwald
Image 5: Flak
Image 6: river crossing, 18.Juni 1940
2.- from the fall of 1940 to December 1940 in the coastal battery 771 in Belgium
3.- from December 1940 to December 1942 in the "3. Batterie der Heeres Küsten Artillerie Abteilung 778" in Le Havre with "15,2 cm Kanonen 15/16 (t)"
4.- from December 1942, the same battery in Mesnil Val Plage
5.- from spring 1943 to December 1943 with the same battery in Mers-les-Bains
6.- in December 1943 the battery was moved to Agde and became
allocated to "Heeres-Küsten-Artillerie-Lehr-Abteilung 101"
-3 of 5 guns "15,2 cm Kanone 15/16 (t)" came to "1.Batterie HKALA 101"
(Wn Lgn 086) La Roche Notre-Dame (there already 4 "Kanonen 10,5 cm K 331 (f)" and 3 "Flak 7,5 cm 235 (b)")
- 2 of 5 guns "15,2 cm Kanone 15/16 (t)" came to "2.Batterie HKALA 101"
(Wn Lgn 057) Cap von Agde (there already 4 "Kanonen 10,5 cm K 35 (t)" und
2 "Flak 7,5 cm 235 (b)"
7.- with the resolution of 3/778 My father came back to the Channel coast, he was used:
- in the "3./I./HKAR 1252" in Mers-les Bains with 4 guns "10,5 cm K35(t)" later in the "Stab der II./HKAR 1252" in Dieppe
- and in the "10. Batterie der II./HKAR 1252" in Greges Thibermont at Dieppe with:

Now my questions:
1. Where was this bunker (Westwall, Normandie ?) ?
Bild 7
2. Where the 771 was in Belgium?
Bild 8
3. Does anyone have photos of the sites in Mesnil Val Plage, Mers-les-Bains
or Dieppe ("Stab/HQ II./1252" near the castle Dieppe, Greges Thibermont )

Hello Klaus-Dieter
(1) The command post is one of the four commandposts at Cap de la Heve ( Le Havre ), looks to me a prewar French one .
(2) Can't find the exact spot of the B. 771 in Belgium maybe Pierrot can help .
(3) The batterie 3./1252 was located at Tre 016 with 1 x 636 4 x 671 and 2 x 622 .The command post of the II./1252 is still there at Die 06 , there is a 669 bunker at the Die 018 were the 10./1252 was located .

Re: Questions about my father
Picture seven looks like a observationpost in/around Cherbourg, France.
The roof is made from steel plates.
It is located North of Battery/fort Bretteville.
When you open Google Earth and watch the photo's you can see the pictures made by my friend during our visit.
Edit, The observationbunker at Bretteville looks a bit different, so it is not the one on the picture.
Greetings Jack.

Re: Questions about my father
Hello Jos and Jack,
Thank you for your quick response. My father was early in Le Havre and at Cap de la Hève in the Rue du Carrousel 77, see my picture.
Quote Sébastien Haule: "the bunker with the antennas on the picture is the HQ of HKAA 1254 (former HKAA 778)"
Near the visited me bunker must have been !
Similarity with battery "de Bretteville Haut" Leitstand safe!
Good night
Klaus-Dieter

Hello,
Quote Jos:
"(2) Can't find the exact spot of the B. 771 in Belgium maybe Pierrot can help ."
Pierrot probably does not know, he did not react to a message.
Maybe someone else can help?
Greetings
Klaus-Dieter

Re: Questions about my father
Hello
This picture is not Le Havre - it is Hanstholm Denmark - the tall man in the middle between Rommel and Ruge is General von Hanneken - Wehrmachtsbefehlshaber Dänemark.
It is december 1943 when Rommel made his inspection in Denmark.

Re: Questions about my father
Hello,
I have great interest in the staffing (German: "Stellenbesetzung") of HKAR 1252 in the year 1944,
special interest to the persons of the batteries 3./I./HKAR 1252 and 10./II./HKAR 1252!
Alaine Chazette wrote in the forum "Atlantikwall en france":
"-I./HKAR 1252 le Treport Hauptmann puis Major Rudolf Wastl"
Many thanks for your help !
