Re: Rückkühler in a bunker
Very glad this subject came up again. Thank you!
Looking back at the first drawing posted by Jos, there is mentioning of a 15 KV generator.
Looking back in my old school books I found the Sankey Diagram, P.Puype 1965 SBW, according this diagram only 28 % of the warmth or heat produced by a diesel engine driving the generator, is in the coolant fluid of the engine. Most of the diesel engines used to run at 85-90 Celsius.
Is there any info on the diesel engines used to drive these generators?
Best regards,
Bertill.
Edit to add, sure it is a provision to use the warmth of the coolant and transfer it with air under pressure.
But only if the generators would run. If local current was used there was no exchange of heat.

.... not more (there is nothing else in term of Rückkühler), but higher resolutionJens Andersen wrote: ↑16 Apr 2017 11:23Do you have more pictures of it, and in better resolution?and it's one of my pictures... Taken on september 2005.... !!
For us in "Hanstholm II" it is very interesting as we certainly had one - the bolts for it are still visible in the floor of the cooling water room.
Best regards
Jens

Re: Rückkühler in a bunker
In either case I see a (special) kind of heater / boiler, just the opposite of a cooler ( Rückkühler )
