636 Pointe du Hoc

#1

Post by v60pih » 07 Jun 2017, 23:55

I have seen the topics about the 636 on PdH here and other well known french Atlantikwall fora. It's a later version of the 636 with a heating room. Also seen the measurements drawing from 1989. I have a little discussion over here with people who claims that it is a 636a build on a 636 base.

Is there any original german documentation where we can see that the 636 on PdH is realy a 636? Buildinglists of the HKB of example?

Very nice document Jos. Thanks!
Do you have any document where the 636 is mentioned?

No , a other argument is that the 636a was released early 1944 in the 6. Ergänzung
and if I read the first document correct the 636 was nearly ready in 20-01-1943.

Thanks Dirk.

Do you have an idea why they mentioned that there was a change of type of this 636?
