Muchos Gracias for all the new information. Did you by any chance see * Norm- und Typenblätter für Maschinen, Maschinteile und Gerät zur Ausstattung von Befestigungsanlagen (Festungsnormblatt) (1943) and are there any different plans in them than the folder from NARA?

Regards,

Yes, all documents on the list were copied (in full or partial).

It's the same set, but not complete (only about 50 pages, compared to about 100 in the NARA-version). I found one page that was a different version (date) compared with the NARA-files.
Of course, the quality of a 400dpi colour scan is better than the files from NARA though :)

Thanks. Never seen parts of the AW south of Denmark, so a trip to Germany-Belgium-Netherlands-France is surely high on my list :)

PS: I'm happy to take tours at Torpedobatterie Herdla for anyone visiting Bergen and the surrounding area...

Some information regarding the archives in Norway

#23

Post by Natter » 02 Jul 2017, 12:57

Here is the online catalog for the norwegian National Archives (norwegian text only):
http://arkivportalen.no/side/forside

I'm not sure if they included the complete content of all the catalogs in the databse yet (if not, the physical catalogs in the reception-area at the NA needs to be consulted).

These are the most important german WW2-archives:
* Organisation Todt, Einsatzgruppe Wiking: RAFA-2188
* Kriegsmarine Norwegen: RAFA-5043 *
* Bauleitung der Luftwaffe: RAFA-5924 *
* Reichskommissariat: RAFA-2174
* Reichskommissariat, Bildarchiv: RAFA-3309

RAFA-2188:
http://arkivportalen.no/side/arkiv/deta ... 0001580650

RAFA-5043:
http://arkivportalen.no/side/arkiv/deta ... 0001366702

RAFA-5924:
http://arkivportalen.no/side/arkiv/deta ... 0001330932

RAFA-2174:
http://arkivportalen.no/side/arkiv/deta ... 0000006063

RAFA-3309:
http://arkivportalen.no/side/arkiv/deta ... 0001365845

* Note: 5043 and 5924 seems to be empty in the NA-catalog now. I suspect the content might have been moved to 2188, as detailed search for known documents get results there.

I have prepared a zip-file with the complete lists of the above mentioned archives for download here:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/386 ... m%20NA.zip

There's not much details in the catalogs, and the description is a mix of german and norwegian, but someone might find them useful anyway (?).

Good suggestion. Try to determine the terms. The document has as header Panzer Hindernis.

Here is a screenshot from the beta-version of the "Archive-portal" which is in the process of being renewed. Seems like there will be an option for english text:
