Re: Stepped schartenstand
There were adding a concrete staircase later right? It should be fixed to the roof in this way I guess.

Hello Jos,
Some bunker have Annex in the rear area ... maybe they were cast in two parts and this is the binding site.

Re: Stepped schartenstand
I think it's part of the construction method.
Door top reinforcement, pipes still visible and iron bars have not been cut yet.
Picture 1: seems to have something with a rounded top (wooden white boards?).
Picture 2: same sort of board construction
(dark wall with rounded top. Seems to fit in the stepped gap)
on rlght hand side wall. Looks like it's part
of a mould/form. I'll try ask locally.

Re: Stepped schartenstand
Thank you all , but on my photo's of Hirtshals of the 671 there were no side entrances ??
Re: Stepped schartenstand
One of the R671 bunkers at Hirtshals-West has a steep stairway entrance added at the back. I would guess it's the one we see being constructed in this OT-report?

That must be the one , Natter
Re: Stepped schartenstand
There are three 671 with additional stairs though, could be any of those.
Re: Stepped schartenstand
You're right. Three of four R671 has additional steps in the back (one is buried and one is closed off, so my photos fooled me ).TH wrote:There are three 671 with additional stairs though, could be any of those.
