Propaganda drawing "Atlantikwall"

#1

Post by Jens Andersen » 17 Aug 2017, 09:01

Hello,

I once found this German propaganda drawing explaining the idea of the "Atlantikwall" on the internet.

Does anybody in here know where it was originally printed? It would be nice to have it in a higher resolution.

Best regards
Jens

Wish I could help you. I flipped through the books on propaganda that I have in my library and didn't come across this image.

the soldier with the shield looks a lot like the drawning that was painted in the Führersbunker of Berlin, there is or was a videoclip from it on youtube, i look for it now

Jens, Maybe you can ask the Oorlogsmuseum Overloon.
They have a nice collection of war related propagandaposters.
I do not know if it is in their collection but you could ask anyway.

Hello Jens
May I ask where you found it, on the net.
There might be a lead... I'm almost
convinced it's related to Simplicissimus
or something very similar.
The "Churchill sized Tommy" looks so...
Ach! I'm sure I've seen him (or his brother)
before
