H.Q. of the M.Fl.A. 813 ( Hoek van Holland )

Does somebody knows were the H.Q. was of this Marine flak unit before they moved to the Fl 250 at the Beer ?

Hi Jos, Not really sure.
But i think the older buildings on the same hill is were they had there HQ.
The Fl250, M151's and if i remember a 621 or 622 were added.

Could it be that the commandpost prior to the Fl 250 on the Beer was located at Hoek van Holland near the Fort Maasmond ??

Hi Jos,

Interesting find and question..! It just happens that I recently bought a photo series of a former veteran of the M.Fl.A. 813 (stationed on de Beer). He crosses the channel for official business, for example: 'the opening ceremony of the new pond'. This at the location mentioned on the map next to the fortress. They confiscated the houses build for the local officials.

It appears the HQ was housed in the old civil housing on the Seinpad (houses are gone now).

Hi Jos,

I don't know much about the hierarchy and uniforms, but yes, I guess so..! The back of the photograph states" Unser Kommandeur besichtigt den Fischteisch'. This picture was taken the same day/moment as the one I uploaded before. You can see the pond in the background. Still empty of water and fish though...
