Hi,
Can anybody identify the tank turret on the very blurry photo below? It is from a news paper, so I am afraid that it can't be made much better.
As far as I can see it is the turret from a Panzer II.
According to the text it should house a flame thrower, but I am very unsure whether that can be true. The turrest was photograhed in Blokhus/DK, and a quite detailed inventory doesn't mention a flame thrower in a turret, but a turret with a 2 cm machine canon. Could it simply be that the machine canon had been removed?

Re: Uidentified Panzerstellung
Hello Jens
Thanks for the picture, very interesting, although blurry. I think you are right – the cylinder on the front plate is a sleeve for a 2 cm KwK, not a flamethrower.
The turret seems to be a VK901 turret. All Panzer II turrets on bunkers in Denmark were VK901, except Aalborg and Grove (source: Panzer Tracts #21-1).
greetings Lars
