The Nazi propaganda image shows a German Wehrmacht sentry at an armed bunker on the French side of the Channel coast. Published in December 1943. A Nazi reporter has written on the reverse of the picture on 28.12.1943, "Ready to defend on the Channel coast. Where did Canadian POWs captured at Dieppe end up imprisoned? My uncle, now deceased, was one of them.

This seems to confirm my suggestions.The cupola is the one visible from the car park on the cliffs to the south of the beach.
