For many of us Jos I believe
Re: Stollen Marineschule Brest
Good evening fellows,
good to see that you enjoy the images. This trip is dated 2000, so I don't know about the use of the bunkers today. But I noticed yesterday on todays satellite images, that some new buildings have been erected on top / next to the R 664's. Who know's what is the situation today.
We asked for special permission to visit this area at the french embassy in germany and had an interview with the french military attache in germany before we got the permission. Unfortunatelly the oil tanker "Erika" sunk end of 1999 southwest of Lorient, so the french military administration was verx busy to handle this catastrophy and had not much time for us. At the end we had just a few hours on a friday afternoon to visit the site.
If you are interested I can post also some images from the day down at the submarine base, where we had some more time.
Regards
Daniel

Hello
Daniel, please do so
Brest has always been sort of "off limits" for most of us.

Re: Stollen Marineschule Brest
That is why it is still worth visiting. All is in good condition.
Hence my question about usage.
Bunkers used for storage or training (not fire) are kept in good condition.
Thanks,
Wim
