Saving Torpedobunker Boulogne sur Mer

#1

Post by bennojollo » 08 Apr 2018, 11:31

Dear members,

On this sundaymorning I have probely some bad news.

From friends living in Boulogne I heard the news that the large torpedobunker (probely) will be destroyed.

I do not have full vieuw on the things happening at the moment but I (and I think we) want to support them to keep the bunker.

The friends want the bunker on a list of historical monuments. If this will works I do not know either but perhaps a good idea to make a list of names of people that give support.

So if you want to help please send you're name and adress to my emailaccount: [email protected]

I will make a PDF file and will update the forum from time to time.

Greetings from Middelburg and enjoy you're Sunday! Ben Muller

Hello,

That is not good news.
But do "our" friends in France have a good business plan for what should be done with this enormous thing ?
Just collecting names and say we, who signed, are against demolition is a lost battle.

Living in the Netherlands you should now that only the bunkers with a goal a business plan make it !
Thanks,

Wim

Dear all,

Yes a good plan must be made. The try to teamup some French organisations.

My contact is Hardy Guillaume.

I have no clue what there plan is so far but he asked me to get the topic to a larger platform.
I know only names will not work but perhaps it is a start, many concretefans over the world. Also if museums get involved it perhaps can turn the tide.

So they know the bunker is known to a large public than only the Pas the Calais area.

Will ask him for more info on what and when.

Greetings Ben

Hello all. Well here the good news. It seems to be a storm in a cup of boulogne water. There was a meeting with some groups and officials and for the moment everything stays how it is. If i receive any other news i will let it know. Happy weekend. Ben
