Batterie Lindemann Gun Turrets identification

#1

Post by dirk Peeters » 24 Nov 2018, 11:05

Hallo all
i ve collected several hundreds of pictures of the lindemann Bttr over all the years
i ll try an effort for identifying if possible
that means all pictures from anton by anton and so on
Maybe we can find differences between them as we did with the Todt Bttr
also there two different bunkers
Maybe we have the same here
so if anyone has good wartime pictures of one of the casemats here and he ll know which casemate i ll go ahead with the search
for me this is Bruno > Is that correct ?

if we can identify all three of them with the camo dots , for me it seems possible

i ve already noticed a big difference in the three Turme
i ll start with the english plan
00 defence wall round plan.JPG
and that goes good with this picture
00 defence wall round.jpg
so the royal engineers measured this casemate
but one of the others was not like that
not so rounded
00 defence wall round straight.jpg
and the third is not round at all but with a corner

i ll use this english plan for the position of Anton , Bruno , and Caesar
00 plan.JPG
then i believe (for this moment) the one with the corner atop de defence wall must be Anton

According to the book "The Atlantic Wall: History and Guide" is this a little blurry picture of Anton:

Looks the photo from J. Kaufmann is photo shopped , a post-war photo with a gun turret placed on the photo ??
