Well, It seems that there are not many experts in Italian naval artillery in the forum....

I hope I have more luck with this....I suppose any of the different 100mm used by Italians in submarines: Mod.1931 , Mod.1935 or Mod.1938....

Somebody ?

Hi, this is a M1938 .
I add two original drawings of the Regia Marina, taken from the book "OTO Melara 1905-2005" by Pignato / Cappellano / Rastelli (sorry for the bad photos).
100-47 OTO 1938 M.jpg
100-47 OTO 1931.jpg
The OTO 1935 type is quite similar to the OTO 1931 type.

Hi Sturm, the text and the date of the photo are completely incorrect, the gun is a 102/45 A.S. 1917 (Armstrong Pozzuoli - Schneider) photographed in Ansaldo's test ground during the first world war (this is a well known photo).
it was mainly used on ships.
You have to be very careful because almost all the descriptions and dates indicated for the artillery photographs in the Ansaldo Archive site are approximate or completely wrong.
Regards.

Hi, this are the 203/53 Ans. 1929 for the Bolzano Italian cruiser, photographed in Ansaldo .
They are recognizable by the screw breechblocks that open upwards, while in 203/50 Ans. 1924 open laterally .

Hi, the first one is a 100/47 OTO 1931.
I send photos of a 100/47 OTO 1931 and a 120/45 OTO 1931, which can be recognized by the thin tube just above the barrel.
The second is a 100/43 OTO 1927, installed in the revolving turrets of the "Brin" and "Foca" class submarines, and I send a drawing taken from Campbell's book "Naval Weapons of WW2".

Hi, this is a 120/45 A.S. 1919 single (Armstrong Pozzuoli-Schneider) , almost certainly installed on one of the old "Generali" class Italian destroyers.
In the photo I send (Spalato 1941) you can see closed the sliding doors (for the targeting system) that are open in your photo.

We have two models, Model S.A. 1917 only single mount, and S.A. 1919 single and twin mounts .
Very similar, always without shield but with "paraventi" (the little protection on the side of the gun); and always the Schneider semicircular breech block.
That on my photo is certainly S.A. 1919 because is installed in one of class "Generali" ship, and the construction of those ships began in 1919 and were launched in 1921/22.

Hi, the photograph shows one of the 305/46 towers of the battleships class "Giulio Cesare" during the transformation into 320/44 Ans.1934.
We are in the mid-30s, in Ansaldo.
From the diameter of the installation I think it is a twin tower (but I'm not completely sure).
