Bernhard Anlage Schoorl
Hi guys,
I have no information about this site, build within the Stp.Gr. Schoorl here in Holland. This Luftwaffe station under position number W.N. 34 has got some types which were only build in Holland (Küver) and I was not able to confirm the types back in the days. Also there remains an unknown structure at street level (Duinweg), which I would like to have identified. The Küvers are discribed by several sources as type 412 and 467, but is this made official by anybody? Measurements? I do not want to follow false info..
Can someone (specially from Holland) shine a light on this site?
Rgds, Robin

Good evening, Tim was your name right?
For me its also a long time ago, so hard to tell. Can you tell me were your findings were based on?
Ever seen this structure along the way, downhill between the houses?
@ Kurt, the map piece is attached; did you have more info on this topic?
Thks

Sorry no type but I found the following drawing and info. The building was finished around 07-'43 by approx. 150 men.
"Achter de eerste duinenrij beton werken aangelegd, doel onbekend. Er werden hier ook bakstenen naar toegebracht. Werk duurde 6 maanden met ca. 150 man, die niet uit Schoorl kwamen."

Re: Bernhard Anlage Schoorl
Nice drawing, thanks.
It would be nice to know where the power source came from to feed the cables with 10.000 volts.
Only over long distances to carry the electrical power such a high voltage would be used.
And sub stations, transformers, are needed to provide the 1x230 volts or 3x380 volts, or both for the end users.
Most high voltage cables, layed in the ground, were oil-cooled witha outer paper insulation.
We have found oil cooled cables with outer paper insulation on several locations near the coast line.
Edit, is there a date of this drawing, and what is the source?
Best regards,
Bertill.

Source is NIMH 575 serie, date is 16-8-'44. Don't know the power source but should be the closest regular power plant (Alkmaar?). I do know there was a 50k Volt cable running down from or to Den Helder. But I'm pretty sure it was the regular Dutch power system with some extensions to where it was needed on building sites.

Hello Erwin, thanks for your reply. Is there any info about the building located along the Duinweg? See above pic. Thanks
Re: Bernhard Anlage Schoorl
I can't find 'your' building at the Duinweg. So dunno.

Re: Bernhard Anlage Schoorl
Erwin, you are right about the cable from Den Helder.
There are still large sections in the ground, and were used untill ca 1975-1985.
So much for German Enginering!
Best regards,
Bertill.
Edit, I have just read 2 books about Den Helder during WW2 and there is no mentioning of a electrical power plant.
