Great drawing Erwan

Could be a option , a other option is that the groundwater level was so high
that the "Hoelschergrube" was located at ground level and not in a pit ??

thought of that also
but why does a Hoelscher anlage needs a Chimney ?
and on the rear picture we see clearly a normal chimney
n the other hand
if it is a generator where are the air entrances ?

Air entrance for the generator could be through the large door ?! ... not easy but possible ! So that we can consider that the large door hides the iron barrels for passage close and air pipes ...

Best regards

hi,

i have a doubt for the trinkwasser, giving access to the interior. for me just the pipe water.the option for the reason water from the garonne looks the best.

Hello everybody !

Thank you for your messages !

The access to the watertank from inside is already a solution in a bunker near Bordeaux ! It is a 621 (Ar34a/03) ...
When you suppress the tobrouk on the left side of 639, the wall becomes very thin ! So that a passage is an option ? If not you have to increase the thickness up to 1 meter or more.

On the other side of the bunker we have a lot of space to fill ! The option of install the heater in this part is very interessant but can't fill the entire part of the right side of the bunker ...
I found a clue in my archivs ... The french authorities asked themselves to preserve this bunker at the Libération because of an "important Z station" .. I think that the presence of numbers of boats in the harbour made that germans built an extra large unit anti-gas in this place !?
Do someone know about a similar building or anti gas unit (Z station) in others harbours ??

Two remarks
(1) the two Wasserbehalter was placed together like on your 2 D drawing
(2) we are missing a room for fuel on the place were the "connection" is

Ok ! I agree with you for the watertanks ! I saw that too ...

Concerning the "connection" between generator room and wasserbehalter room, what do u think about the thikness of the wall in this part ? My opinion was that they needed lot of water for the "Z unit" and installed the generator together with the Heater on the right side ? But that doesn't match with the pipes (chemney) above !

So the reel problem is the unpossible link between a wasserbunker and a 639 on the left side without adding more concrete between the two buildings ...
I didn't find any another bunker with this excroissance !

Best regards

My opinion is that the Wasserbehalter room is not connected to the 639 because you can enter the
bunker without any defense and I am missing a room for the fuel in your drawing .
The Wasserbehalter looks like the one at Gi 312 by the 622, also the Wasserbehalter bunker have
normally a walls and roofs from 1.00 till 1.50 . Maybe it's optical illusion but it looks that the door
to Wasserbehalter is higher then the entrances of the 639 . But I could be totally wrong .
