Hi Jos,
Erika does not ring a bell for me.
However I am pretty sure that "Windmess-Geräte" is a early version of the WIM-Geräte, the early version of the FuMB.

Hi!
I know I have read about Erika (not the song/ music) before.

The attachments are from the book German Radar in The Netherlands.
Sadly I have to mention that there are some mistakes in this book.
But anyway take a look at it, it was the first I could find, but somewhere.........

Best reagards,
Bertil.

Thanks Bertill,
It seems as if Erika was the name of the site and not the radar.

The Radarstellung in Westkapelle was named Erika/Monika and was manned by the Kriegsmarine. Had a complete photoserie a few years ago.

Hi!

Erika was also a Verfahren, a method to use their equipment.
And there was Erika 1 and Erika 2 and a Battery named Erika.

There is more, but I am not at home, but will report back.

Best regards,
Bertill.

Sadly I can not. Selled them a few years ago for a pretty high price. Wouldn't be fair for the buyer. Most pictures are from the soldiers and barracks. Only one shows a Würzburg far, far away in the background.

So far we have a naval radar post Monica with a Fu.M.O. 2 ( Calais ) and Fu.M.O. 214 ( W.R. ) in original documents,
from Jens A. I have a document from mid 1942 with the Calais radar already in naval service in Westkapelle.

The Luftwaffe document ( 1942 ) here above with the Erika radar with troops of the Luftgau Nachrichten Regiment Holland
and on the photo's from Ties you can see the text Stützpünkt Erika in November 1943.

Still very contradicting information about this site ??

Indeed it is Jos, but I have never come across a radar named Erika.
