Hello Melvin

In the room was one table with a device to fill the ammo belts for the M.G. ( Gurtfüllertisch Nr 9 )

thank you for the information.
Is it also possible that the Germans had shelves on the wall.Because many other Atlantikwall museum do have that.

Including Le Grand bunker in Normandië. I don't know if this is based on historical evidence but it look very nice.

Thanks

Hi,

A metal table for mounting an MG was also used in this room.

In the Channel Islands it is common for the MG table to be provided for bunkers Nahkampfraum with the small loophole designed for rifles!
The table is supposed to be bolted to the floor but this was rarely done locally.

Regards,
Malcolm :milwink:

I would generally think it was used for storage and as a small workshop for fixing weapons etc.

In some bunkers there was a emergency generator, but then you have had an exhaust pipe and probably traces of a subframe.
Like Arthur says, a common storage place. I've seen also emergency radio storage..
