Hi Jos,

The Ringstand with this turret is situated on the south west of this strongpoint.

I took this picture at Epresmenil. The black & white ringstand doesn't seem to be this one, which have no concrete splinters on the roof above the door :

Thank you all Guys

A few remarks , the tobruk is a Vf 25 and a Churchill turret with a 57 cm gun with a MG
Looks there is a sort of fence on the left side .
I have seen the splinters but this could also be something light on the dark concrete ( optical illusion )
Looks the turret has a number on the side "0??"

Looking at the picture a bit closer. The barrel looks like it has a plug in the end, or is it a flamethrower turret, or is it just a trick of the light and shadows.

Hello Granatwerfer

I think you are right that is something in the end of the barrel, I don't think it's a flame thrower
because in Dieppe they used the early version Oke flamethrower and this was not fitted in the turret .

No UK Churchills had turret flameguns

the Crocodile flamegun replaced the Hull Besa

Now did the Wehrmacht replace the main gun with one or some smaller cannon as a liner?

I think these are the 2pounder ones of the Mark I, maybe these used the same ammo of the 2Pounder ATgun.
That way they had enough ammo.

Could the Germans have replaced the main gun with the flamethrower from the Panzer III (FL), Sd.Kfz. 141/3.
