Tobruk type VF 15 / Typ U

Hello all

Is there allready any proof on german documents that this type ringstand is called VF 15 or Type U
It's build very widely so it should be nice if we can name it correctly in the archives

number 15 is mentioned in the documents under "Type".. afaik
so there is possibility that it is from the VF serie or only description like Ic, M.D. and all the other numbers
or is popup a doc with "Vf 15"... that would make me realy happy

Nz 28 winterprogram.

Don't you find it strange tobruk with 1 meter thick do 10cbm and just next leaf paper the same bunker to be 15 cbm not type ? for me just one error of transcription or typewriter.Finally for us we need a plan or several documents at different places in the Atlantikwall as proof for Vf15.On more than 150 leafs of program alone this leaf is annotate like this. No evidence whatsoever Vf 15.

it is strange indeed... maybe i start name the ringstände by name for the future and not by number anymore... Just L-Tobruk, Renault Kuppel,... a bit like the old days in WW1, where stellungsbau typology was also named with bezeichnung instead of numbers.

For some in this forum numbering is everything, sometimes they even invent a number A extra cm or a 0,5 m3 extra concrete makes a sleepless night

you can never give a type in relation to a single document,it always takes several to crosscheck the information. in this list the Vf is often with the prefix Vf.
see here

after other info it is noted 58c everywhere, normal the type is good in 1943, VF8 give up. But on site more than 40% a 60% of tobruks are VF8.

and you can tobruks 580 instead of 58c

So document extra but ??? I let you judge.

yes thats strange... but maybe it is verstärkt, or with a trench or entrance part?

btw. imo a Tobruk is only the L and S Tobruk... all other are Ringstände with a weapon

On this document from also St Nazaire the Ringstanden for the french tankturets are called S.K. ( NARA )
