new ringstand found along Belgian coast

#1

Post by myt1prod » 01 May 2020, 12:35

In these corona-times we tend to ride our bike and go for walks... in my case I combine them to go and take walks in dunes I never or rarely visited before along the coastline of my own country...

Although apart from some brick and concrete rubble it is sad to realise how little remains ... there are still things to be found.

At first sight it seems to be a fully intact ringstand in pristine shape, apart from the small crack in the ring.

Hello Jean

It is only the top part of a blown up tobruk. Some years it become visible and then disappeared again under the sand for a while.

In 2008 it was almost completly cleared from the sand (see picture) and in 2010 I didn't find it again.
