Channnel Island addaption of Regelbau 670

Thanks to JWT Research an interesting bit of info regarding adapting the construction of Regelbau 670 casemates for the mounting of the 10,5 cm K 331 (f) on the 90 degree pivot Guernsey-Stand Lafette as used in the Jägerstand has come to light. 8-)

In English;
The embrasure and base mounting is much too large and the cannon coming up to the front is not covered enough. The Regelbau 670 is to be built according to the instructions of the Fest.Pi.Stab. In order to continue to build Regelbau 670, the embrasure of the Regelbau 691 must be used.

The use of Regelbau 691 is interesting as is likely a typo. The Jägerstand Type was later designated Wa. Prüf. 692 Instltyp so I assume 691 should be 692.

The document is dated October 1943 and construction on the 670 casemates were only a month or two in.

Regards,
Malcolm :milwink:

Hello Malcolm

I think your document is written by regulair army personel , because the Fest Pion. troops will never talk about a
Kleinstschartenstand ( 90 ) looks to me a 670 and was called Schartenstand für Geschütze auf mittlerer Sockellafette (90) ohne Nebenraum.

Were do you read about the Guernsey stand lafette ? I only could find the mittl. Sockellafette ( S.L. IV )

Regards Jos
