Do any of you have any thougths about this piece of steel than turned up under the soil?

It is located within Stellung Thymian on Titran in Norway.
There were two Wurzburgs there and one Freya according to the list.

This turned up were we thoutgh the freya would have stood.
According to an old man the was a radar there during the war.

All he Freyas I have seen have stood on their own feet so what can the function of this have been?

Regards

I saw something approaching at a former 150 cm Schweinwerfer position. But there was a steel platform welded on it.

Michael, This is the Knickebein stellung K9.
The bunker is still there and even te base for the radar is also recognisable on Google Earth.

Sorry, the movies show not K 09 Beaumont-Hague, but K 08 Mont Pinçon → Ventilation buildings of K 09 have different shape and environment.
See also the movies titles!

I've seen pictures of Freyas being transported on Sd.Anh.201(the one used to carry 8.8 cm. Flak 18).Worth checking this path.

The picture in post #4 shows a Sd.Anh.104 transportable Kreuzlafette, this was one of the options to carry the 160 cm. Flakscheinwerfer.

What is the length of the beam you found?
Have you found out anything about it?
