I will get two nice Delft Blue jars(?) in the near future from the estate of an Marine Flak Batterie Delfzijl soldier. The discription on the jar is Batterie Hai or Lai. It also shows a Doppelrohr, probably Leichte Flak. That seems right, because the Delfzijl soldier also manned a Leichte Flak. But Batterie Hai, never heard from it.. Anyone from here perhaps?
The jar is made by Goedewaagen Gouda and I think it is designed by the same soldier as the one that designed the ashtrays and plates from the Marine Flak in Groningen and Ostfriesland.
Thanks!
Batterie Hai/Lai

Re: Batterie Hai/Lai
Superb! That must be it. I think it represents the U-Boot pens indeed. I will ask the family if the soldier was also stationed at St. Nazaire.
