Honfleur - Trou 02

#1

Post by bunkermaniak » 15 Oct 2021, 16:21

Hello to all :)

I'm Sébastien and some people on this forum know me. After a few years of interruption , I resumed research . I left belgium and I'm living in the Val de Saire, in the Cotentin peninsula (France) .

My actual website : https://val-de-saire-1940-44.pagesperso-orange.fr/

In addition to my interest in my new region, for the moment I am completing plans for the 15 KVA G sector . I'm starting with the "Trou 02" .

Did someone have any informations about this bunker ?

Image

I saw it in 2003 , I didn't measure it and unfortunately , it was demolished (in 2007-2008?) . It could be a VF bunker with 1m thick walls

Probably a Vf66, Vf66's is the Vf version of a 655 many were built in Normandy (the AOK15 part).
Not shure though but the entrance is in the right place.
Greetings Jack.

Hello :D
it's not a VF 66 :? . On the same Stp , there is a real VF 66 (in blue) and you can see the difference . From the air , the VF 66 is square and the other one is rectangular

Hello Sébastien D.

The SHM drawing gives for the emplacement beside this bunker also 5 cm KwK , but I agree the bunker is larger .
BTW nice 622 bunker photo on the other Forum could not find the location yet .

Hello Sebastien,
I also puzzle a long time about this one...
Jack and Jos are right... its a second KwK... and all in this area are build with a Bf 66.
for a ST its to small... so I would go for a Bf66 variation or with annex... size and entrances fits with this therory.
greetz & and lets hope for a final information.

Hello Sébastien, I had the opportunity to see your site. Super good and detailed to the extreme. Congratulations from another Normand interested in the sister of the 709.Inf.Div.

Hello :)

There was a 621 near the VF Skoda casemate, but a 622 I don't think so .
At the place which is named "jardin public", a St bunker was destroyed just after the war but unfortunately we do not know more.

the form does not correspond with a 622

It's the nr9 , at the bottom of the page : http://honfleur3945.chez.com/mur.htm

Hello,

yes thats the one I think about.
If I take the size from the 621 at the harbor... a 622 (without Tobruk like the 621) would fit realy good at jardin public.
SHM call it abri personal...
